I’m working in reception atm in a primary school. I’m doing two days in school and 3 days home learning. I to am suffering with anxiety when going into work. I wear my visor all day , which I find also makes me anxious, I get breathless . It’s really hard going. Why are we not shielding 24/7 being diabetic. They had me shielding first time round??? I don’t understand it!

I struggled with the first lock down with both my physical and mental health. I couldn't get the food I needed to adhere to the strict diet I am on for my health. My daughter had a baby at the beginning who I couldn't see and my dog died. I had lots of diamond paintings to do which helped. As soon as a second lock down looked likely my son moved back so he could work from home and the 2 kids bought me a lovely rescue dog so it is easier. Also decided to learn British Sign Language so my brain is occupied.

Hello everyone,
Since the Coronavirus pandemic concerns many across the UK (and Carenity members too), I've created this discussion to allow you to talk specifically about the virus in the context of Type 2 diabetes, as we all know that people with underlying health conditions can be more affected.
If you haven't yet seen, we've published a few articles outlining the general information and guidelines for both the general population and for those with chronic illnesses:
Coronavirus: What do you need to know?
Coronavirus and chronic illness
Are you worried about the coronavirus? Have you received any special instructions from your doctor regarding your care? Are you going to limit your travel? Do you feel that you are sufficiently informed about the general and specific recommendations? Have you taken any specific precautions?
Feel free to share your comments or questions below!
Take care,
Courtney
