I was told they would be in touch in 11-12 weeks. If Europe send all they have back to us, could be even sooner.  (Wishful thinking on my part).

I had my Astra Zeneca vaccination yesterday. I had a restless night, and woke up today with a sore arm, major headache and aching all over. I'm also exhausted and spent most of the day sleeping.

My GP warned me of side effects so not worried. Looking forward to receiving the 2nd one!

@lesmal‍

Well done Lesley. I am glad. At last you were able to have the vaccine despite your several allergies. You will be fine in a day or two. As you know, such reaction only goes to prove that you immune system is trying to fight the vaccine and that is a good sign. Good luck with the 2nd one in 11 to 12 weeks time. My 2nd AZ is due mid April.

@nineteen_gale‍... Thank you.  I'm still exhausted and had another sleep today. My arm is painful but headache has eased a little. I'm just taking Paracetamol as the doctor suggested.

I was asked about my allergies as a precaution but told the doctor that Ceterizine should cover it. Looking forward to getting the 2nd one over and done with.

Keep well.

Had AstraZenica with no side effects whatsoever. Being over 80 have appointment early April for my second.   My husband was the same.   As he is considered housebound a Nurse will just arrive to do his.   As all ladies will understand I am delighted I also  have a hairdressing appointment the previous day!!!   JA

When will they get to the second jab is my question for the goverment. My daughter got a date but no date for my wife and myself. Certainy a worry as there is 25 million of us with their first jab and the logistics of getting us althrough again. But still planning on my summer hols on the 12th April in the UK whether we have it or not. Am expecting a little worse side effects with the second one it seems from all reports but acceptable!

I am so glad Lesley that all has turned out well for you and that Cetirizine will cover your allergies. Good luck with your 2nd dose. Rob which one was your 1st dose/ Mi husband had Pfizer and did not have any side effects from the 2nd one. people react differently. Apparently there was a sudden surge in rising of the virus in India yesterday 35,000 tested positive. Mr. Modi has slowed down the export of AZ vaccine to us as they need to vaccinate their people from the sudden raise in the virus. Hence the delivery to UK has slowed down. I had my 1st on 15th Jan and therefore the 2nd dose should be mid April. Its left to be seen if I get called on time. Good luck everyone with their vaccine. Take care and stay safe.

Hello there, has anyone who has had Covid been vaccinated?

I had it in October and I'm still dealing with the after effects and I'm a bit nervous to get the vaccine. I haven't been given a date yet and I almost don't want to because I feel like it's a waste since I should be protected from it and my dose should go to someone else who needs it and then I'm also a bit afraid that it will "flare up" the previous bout I had.

I will obviously get the vaccine of course when it's offered to me, but I'm wrestling a bit with myself over it.
