@Randomj1 Hello Randomj1, thank you for opening this discussion! Our Alpha-1 community is small for the moment, but it is still growing! Let me tag a few members who can join the conversation!
For those who may not be familiar, Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency (Alpha-1) is a genetic condition that may result in lung or liver disease due to a lack of alpha-1 antitrypsin (AAT) protein in the blood. AAT serves to protect the lungs from inflammation and is mainly produced by the liver.
Hello members, how are you today? What has your experience been with Alpha-1? How and when were you diagnosed? Has your Alpha-1 caused any other conditions? How are you doing today? Have you tried any medicines or treatments? Feel free to share your story here!
