I must admit I have no idea either if Levothyroxine is working. I've been on it now for almost 3 years here in Northern Ireland. My Doctor takes regular blood checks every six months to check thyroid levels, but whether the medication works I'm not sure.

Other medication i.e. for epilepsy is more vital to me at this stage.

I have no idea if this medication works or helps me in anyway. I was prescribed this many years ago (possibly 20 years) at the time I was constantly exhausted & I’m still exhausted. I put my tiredness down to my constant pain & RA as the medication didn’t make any difference to this.

I've been on Levothyroxine 100 for several years, when I initially took it it seemed to really shift my  symptoms for a few weeks but it hasn't lasted, I now seem very prone to 'pulling muscles' when I exercise, not sure if it is a side effect, part of the condition or just getting older??

I am using this in conjunction with other pituitary conditions and so am not reeally able to say if it's in or effective but don't think I am in receipt of any side effects that are contrary to my quality of life.

I have never been impressed with Levothyroxine - I was put on it for Hypothyroidism but it doesn't make much difference.
