Have taken 325 mg of slow release for years , it’s the only tablets that I manage to take without severe side effects , although I still deal with them all the time

I was told that I would be on them for life , not sure I’m happy with that statement

I still get anxiety , restlessness , can’t sleep well and lots of other side effects

I used to be own tablets now I am on capulets which are easier to swallow. They do leave me with a dry mouth. But apart from that, they are okay. I have been told by my G.P that I probably will never come off them.

I was prescribed Venlafaxine for Cataplexy -( loss of muscle tone) which is a side effect of Narcolepsy.   It amused me to see on the box of tablets that these can make one drowsy, when this is what I wish to avoid!

This really helped me in the beginning but then I made some lifestyle changes and felt like it started to impede my progress. Under medical supervision I came off it. It took 2 painful months but I never looked back and don't regret it.
