I don't really like the winter months. Due to cold and chilly weather.  I try to go outside for some fresh air. It does help with my Diabetes.

Overdosing with Vitamin D can be a problem just as much as a low level it seems. My bloods are checked regularly but not for Vitamin D, I have just agreed with my Diabetes nurse to add the test on a regularly basis. So if you do take Vitamin D it is worth monitoring your bloods to make sure you are not overdosing or simply adjusting the amount you take. I would have thought it would in the minds of your GP for regular testing but it seems not, so worth considering adding to your blood tests!

I re-located to UK last year and arrived during the winter. From being in a new country my mind was inundated with thoughts for weeks and months! I was kept occupied with all the essential completion of paperwork, getting to know the place, the people, the transport system, etc. that I didn't have time to get depressed! Seeing the snow for the first time even brightened up my life, and exploring all over kept my brain going!

We have now gone through our 1st summer, and I have purposely looked at volunteering the next few months ahead... This will help me to get through the winter and not feel the 'winter blues!'

As soon as it gets cold I seem to go into a depression and desperately want to leave this country for warmer climes. We were fortunate a few years ago to spend the winter months in Gran Canaria and I can honestly tell you that I had never felt better and could really do with feeling that way again but unfortunately money restrictions hasn't allowed us to do it again.  I am mostly housebound these days so I am normally home during all the winter months with all my shopping being done online and delivered to my home.  Looks like I have this to look forward to again this year.

I love winter as my health is so much better. The heat hits my epilepsy and I hate the humidity when it comes.

After leaving South Africa 2 years ago, its hard adjusting to a different weather pattern but I love the change.

After surgery recently I've noticed also a change in tiredness and depression, but I won't let these take over!

Wishing you all a fabulous day!
