@Scotty 2 Thank you for this advice and the scoop on the Daily Mail. And very interesting stuff about magnesium deficiency. Was it your GP who let you know about that?

As Scotty 2 said, check with your MP before adding any supplements to your diet. Some can have unintended reactions with certain medications.

@Hileena  Hiya, geez wish we could get such a thing here in rural Bali...I'm at the end of my tether thinking I could go back to work as a nurse at a free clinic for the poor in a remote area...silly me...."yes I'm strong now, feeling great" I said to myself, I can contribute again the way I used to...foolish thinking. I so badly want to be a part of things again...but I get knocked down every time I try to be "normal" and strong and not bothered by pain. Can someone try to get my silly head together for me...badly needed......but hugs anyway...G

@Michael_B Hi Michael it was not originally my GP, but a Naturopath acquaintance who suggested I get my magnesium checked, Quoting the research that indicated the problem with ppi's  My GP was happy to arrange a test and I was very low. Problem is test only show what is in the blood and most magnesium is stored in the tissue.
