Thank you for bringing up this topic.
I've had CKD for several years but did not realise brain fog could be one of the causes. I have put this down to hormonal issues, health issues, epilepsy, side effects and more from medication.
I try and relax by doing Word search puzzles, mathematical puzzles and more to clear it. I multitask also to keep me constantly occupied.

Hi everyone,
How are you doing today?
Many people living with chronic kidney disease report episodes of brain fog, or that feeling of mental cloudiness, difficulty concentrating, or struggling to remember words or tasks. It can feel frustrating or even scary, especially when it interferes with daily life.
This mental fatigue isn't always talked about, but it's real. It may be linked to toxins building up in the body, sleep issues, anaemia, medications, or the emotional toll of managing CKD. Whatever the cause, you're not alone if you’ve noticed a change in your mental sharpness.
💬 Have you ever felt like CKD is affecting your memory, focus, or mental clarity?
💬 What kind of situations make it worse (or better) for you?
💬 Have you found any strategies or routines that help clear the fog, even a little?
