Diclofenac to become a prescription drug

Hello everyone,

News for those who are using the anti-inflammatory drug Diclofenac. From the 15th January 2015 it has been changed to a prescription drug, due to "a small safety concern that has arisen".

My GP took me off Diclofenac and put me on Naproxin because of this.

Hi , Diclofenac is already a prescription only medication here . I think there was recently some concern in the media with the increased risk of heart attack

Yes, thought it was @XDarenX - I always had to have a script for it.

DICLOFENAC made a bleed in my tummy.  I am advised never to take it again

Hello to all, I agree with all that this Diclofenac has always been a prescription only medication, due to the nasty side effects that arise from long term use.   I am also banned from taking it due to my stomach getting in a bad way and getting gastro ulcers, I am even banned from using the topical cream, Volterol.

This medication is really just the anti-inflammation treatment, it never did anything for my pain,
