Diclofenac to become a prescription drug

Hello everyone,

News for those who are using the anti-inflammatory drug Diclofenac. From the 15th January 2015 it has been changed to a prescription drug, due to "a small safety concern that has arisen".

Hi

Yes diclofenic always has been a prescription drug ...as long as I can remember.  My doctor took me off it and put me on Naproxen about 3 years ago.  It was the best of a bad lot was the comment.   Diclofenic helped my pain, naproxen isn't nearly as good.

I must admit, Naproxen does not work for me as well as Diclofenic did.

Hello to all, Naproxen made me ill and I cannot risk it again, so just pain relief when it is needed.

I use MediGuard, and when the medication details are all input it gives you warning and alerts about all your different items and gives you indications as to the different issues that can arise.

I hadn't heard of MediGuard @Karen56 , but I have checked it out - what a great site - I must admit it was a bit scary seeing how many of my drugs have interactions with others I take, but great info.  For anyone else interested, the website is:
