@rita_portsmouth Hello rita_portsmouth, thank you for opening this discussion and sharing the article! For those who may not be familiar, baclofen is an oral or injectable medicine use to treat muscle spasticity which can occur after a spinal cord injury or with certain conditions such as multiple sclerosis.
Have any of you heard of baclofen being used to treat or "cure" alcohol addiction? Do you know if it's authorised in the UK? Is it something you'd be interested in?

Hi, I recently stumbled upon this article from a few years ago talking about Baclofen being used in France to treat alcoholism and I'm really interested in it.
It sounds controversial, but effective at the same time. Has anyone heard of it being used in the UK? It sounds like it was still in clinical phase but results seemed hopeful? Here's the article for anyone interested: https://www.theguardian.com/society/2016/sep/16/baclofen-controversial-pill-cure-alcoholism
