Stress is a major trigger for my seizures and epilepsy. One's state of mind is essential in managing to stay calm.
As a way of relaxing I try and do Word Search puzzles, and play the occasional mental game on my mobile phone to keep my brain active and in gear.
Reading puts me to asleep so I've given up with that. Doing voluntary work keeps me occupied also and I love giving back to the community.

Well both my wife and myself are in stress mode bringing up a young child as disabled pensioners. My wife has had long term heart disease, three heart attacks and I have been recently been diagnosed with heart disease on top of other issues. She smokes like a trooper, losing weight like no tomorrow without drugs and a clear death wish, gave up being concerned. So not really concerned about stress but do monitor her stats and mine. We can't change anything now, what will be, will be!

Hello everyone,
How are you doing today? 😊
Stress and heart health are deeply connected, and sometimes it can feel like being stuck in a vicious cycle. Stress can raise your blood pressure, trigger inflammation, and even contribute to unhealthy habits like overeating or skipping exercise, all of which increase the risk of cardiovascular disease. On the flip side, dealing with heart conditions can overwhelm you and cause even more stress, thereby worsening symptoms and creating a loop that’s hard to break.
What about you? Have you noticed how stress affects your heart or overall health?
What are your go-to ways for breaking the stress cycle and staying calm? How do you keep your focus on recovery without feeling overwhelmed?
