@Psulsayhi get out for a walk even to end of your road. You will begin to feel better. Take part in your own challenge to get fitter/healthier to give you focus. I've done this and although still hard to motivate myself some days I think it's got me through this last few weeks

@LindaBlacker How is the walking? Any improvements?
I am paraplegic so I know the problems.
Keep going at it - exercise as much as possible without overdoing it - a little and often
Take care & keep safe

I'm still walking losing my balance though. I've bought a stepper that tilts to the side managed 70 steps. Even sitting down then standing up. Without holding on with your arms. That makes the back of your legs ache. Try little steps I always say at least we are triers take care xx

Hi paulineashort I know how you feel I too have bowel problems. I'm scared to go anywhere in case I have an accident. I had a stoma put on in 2016. Got a massive hernia the size of a toddler's head. I told the dr I wanted the stoma reversed as it kept blocking. At the hospital a dr pushed his hand inside the hole in my tummy I screamed in pain. He said it would have to clear or it could burst my colon. I had a reversal of the stoma and hernia in 2018. It took eight hrs. I'm badly scared. But anything is better than the stoma which didnt work for me. Hope your keeping yourself well. When I do go out I take an imodium to slow my bowel down in case I have another accident. Good luck xx

Hello everyone,
How are you today?
For many of us, the lockdown has led us to pick up a few bad habits: snacking, more time in front of the telly and less exercise. According to a study backed by the British Obesity Society, nearly 50% of British people say they have put on weight since lockdown began in March, with more than 16% gaining five pounds or more in the first six weeks.
Now that the good spring weather is on its way, let's motivate one another to get back into shape!
How have you experienced the lockdown in terms of diet and activity? Are you ready to take part in our challenge?
What are you doing to get back into sport or exercise? What kind of sport do you do? How often do you do it?
Feel free to share any exercises, light recipes or ideas to get back into shape!
Take care,
Courtney
