Hi everyone, how's it going today?
You’ve probably heard that fibre is important for your gut and overall health, and that’s true! But recently, a trend called “fibremaxxing” has been making the rounds on social media. It encourages people to drastically increase their daily fibre intake, sometimes far beyond the recommended 30g per day.
While fibre has many benefits (better digestion, blood sugar regulation, heart health), experts are warning that too much fibre, especially from supplements or powders, can cause bloating, cramps, nutrient malabsorption, and even constipation.
💬 Let’s talk:

This is especially relevant for those of us living with digestive issues, diabetes, IBD, IBS, or other chronic conditions where diet plays a big role. Whether you swear by lentils and seeds, or have had a tough experience with high-fibre diets, we’d love to hear your story.
Take care,
Somya from the Carenity team 🌼
