Hello everyone!

How are you ? 😊

Our skin is the first barrier of the human body against external attack from pollution, dust, cold or the sun. Chronic diseases, symptoms, treatments and personal emotions all affect the skin and mucous membranes.

To care for your skin on a daily basis, you must follow a few simple rules: adopt a healthy lifestyle, choose quality products, follow a routine according to your skin type.

Let’s get some of our members to tell us their experience

Does the disease or your treatments damage your skin? What do you do to take care of your skin? Do you have any advice ?

Let’s share!

Take care,

Lizzi

Having had epilepsy for over 50 years, my skin has been affected by allergic reactions and more due to constant medications. I am also allergic to wheat, dairy, protein, spices, and seafood which cause havoc on the skin. Perfumes, colors, fragrances, and chemicals in washing powder, dishwashing liquids, etc. also cause problems.

I stopped wearing makeup several years ago due to reactions, and only use hypoallergenic soaps, creams, and shampoo/conditioner.

My skin has always been very dry and I have found the Simple range good for skin problems/sensitivity. I also use Vaseline Repair Cream after a shower which definitely has helped rejuvenate dry skin.

Hello

Yes, with a chronic illness it's tough. With TTP I always have SO many bruises, but I still try to take care of my skin. I moisturize every time I get out of the shower. I may be bruised, but I won't be dry!

@baheersayed My problems are related to my skin. I don't have just one condition, they have various symptoms, but never have a chance to discuss them with dermatologist. I even had a check up over the phone which resulted after explaining various points over was told quite abruptly, 'you have dry skin'.
