I use a Libre 3 CGM and it keeps on losing signal which is very frustrating. There's absolutely nothing that you can do, none of your procedures make any change. If it travels through the high or low points it magically wakes up if it's already passed through it does nothing until it wakes up and then to hide the fact that it's failed it draws the missing time from it's stored memory in the sensor.

Hello everyone,
Earlier this month, the FDA issued a warning about potential missed alerts for people using smartphone-connected diabetes devices like continuous glucose monitors (CGMs), insulin pumps, and automated insulin delivery systems.
๐น Whatโs the issue?
Some patients have reported that they didnโt receive critical alerts, or worse, thought they were receiving them when they werenโt. This can lead to serious medical complications like severe hypoglycaemia, dangerous hyperglycaemia, or even diabetic ketoacidosis.
๐น Why does this happen?
๐น What can you do?
To stay safe, the FDA recommends:
โ Carefully following manufacturer instructions for setup and updates
โ Disabling automatic OS updates until compatibility is confirmed
โ Checking alerts after updates or when connecting to new accessories
โ Manually reviewing notification settings at least once a month
The FDA is working with manufacturers to prevent these issues, but in the meantime, double-checking your alerts is just as important as monitoring your blood sugar.
๐ Have you ever experienced issues with your diabetes device alerts?
๐ What steps do you take to ensure your CGM or insulin pump works properly?
