Hello, I am new here, having followed through a friend's 'like' of this site on Facebook.

I have been in peri-menopause for around the last 6 years now. With changing hormones, the depression which I first experienced in my teens, then on and off through adulthood (generally hormonally linked) is now hitting with avengence. My marriage has hit a very low patch, in part because I pick up so strongly on my wife's own depression. When I am fine, I can rise above her depression, and indeed be of help. Homeopathy has helped in the past, and am looking for a good homeopath now.

Recognising now that I am bisexual, not lesbian, is adding to the confusion. Combined with experiencing the exact opposite of loss of libido (the source of some amusement to a friend the other day - good to share a laugh) and - sadly - within a celibate relationship. My only consolation is I will (sometime) come out the other side of this - and indeed not to let hormones lead me to do anything too rash...Look forward to sharing - perhaps at the receiving end now, and hopefully more positively later.

I think as women we are sometimes dealt a rough deal. I had awful problems as a teenager with very painful periods. I didn't meet my husband until I was 30 and when we tried for a family found out that I had a problem when we tried IVF. They had me on he maxium of the drugs and only got one egg, after further tests they gave me the sad news that I was having a premature menopause. At 36 that is not the news you want to hear. Took another 4 years for my periods to stop and that was a rough time. I ended up on HRT to try and cope with the hot flushes, night sweats and temper flares I'd get. Then 2 years later I bled again. Off for more tests, told to come back in 6 months if it happened again. A year and a half later, back again for more tests.

Then I went on holiday in 2013 and came back with a virus before I knew it I was in a bad way, had to give up work and was diagnosed with depression. My HRT tablets were stopped so we could work on control the depression. I still get hot flushes once in a while, but my moods more incontrol, well most of the time.  I am now in the middle of a horrible divorce. I know the menopause and depression didn't help, but my ex was partly to blame, but he's not admitting it.

With all the work I did last year with my doctor and a psychologist and with my own research I feel so much better.

The best thing I've done is review my diet and adjust that with taking my interest in my exercise as well. I now wear an exercise monitor and use it to ensure I am getting at least my 10,000 steps a day.

I have also cut out all the salt I was using while cooking, have reduced the processed foods I was eating by 95% and I have cut my refined sugar intake by 80%. Still got work to do, but I noticed that reducing the sugar has had an effect on the hot flushes. It may be a coincide, but I don't get so many now. I know I definitely feel better when I am having good days with my depression and I do recover quicker from the lows when I do have a low point. :-D

I am working on changing my carbs to healthier ones and increasing my vegetable intake as well.

I hope some of what I have done will help you.

Thank you indeed for your reply. Yes, menopause is indeed a tough, complex time. I do keep an eye on diet, and fortunately have not experienced hot flushes. I am also on hrt now, and seeing a therapist (trauma related, c-PSTD I now know).

I hope you find healing out the other side of your divorce.

Pharmascience medicine work on Hemorrhoids Causes and symptoms.

Precisely why hemorrhoids develop is unknown. Researchers have identified a number of reasons to explain hemorrhoidal swelling, including the simple fact that people's upright posture places a lot of pressure on the anal and rectal veins. Aging, obesity, pregnancy, chronic constipation or diarrhea, excessive use of enemas or laxatives, straining during bowel movements, and spending too much time on the toilet are considered contributing factors.Pharmascience medicine stop causing hemorrhoids and very good work on that.
