My husband recently developed Hyperthyroidism as one of the side effects of Amiodarone he was taking for Atrial Fibrillation. He has lost 10 kg  over 4 months. He is now started on Carbimazol 30mg daily but the level of T3 and T4 kept rising. The normal level of T4 is less than 20. His was 69 when he was commenced on Carbimazole. The levels have now risen to over 100 and the dose is increased to 60mg. He is having weekly blood tests. He has no energy, feels weak, lethargic and exhausted. has any one suffered this? I would be interested in knowing.

Thank you
