Tegretol Liquid 100 mg/5ml

Epilepsy - generalised tonic-clonic and partial seizures.

Note:

Tegretol is not usually effective in absences (petit mal) and myoclonic seizures. Moreover, anecdotal evidence suggests that seizure exacerbation may occur in patients with atypical absences.

The paroxysmal pain of trigeminal neuralgia.

For the prophylaxis of manic-depressive psychosis in patients unresponsive to lithium therapy.

Tegretol controlled my seizures.

Regret due to low sodium levels which it is known to do, I was weaned off it in June, 2019. 

I am now on Vimpat.

I was always satisfied with Tegretol as far as control of my seizures was concerned.

I was weaned off this medication due to low sodium (low salt) in my blood results. 

I am now on Vimpat.

Tegretol has done me well for over 30 years now! It has controlled my tonic clonic seizures, and partial seizures to a certain extent. 

Regret due to low sodium now in my blood results, which the Neurologist and my Doctor put down to Tegretol, I have now changed to a newer medication.

One is always nervous when changing medications, but Tegretol worked!
