Hello,
What medication are you taking to combat your AS? Do you find it effective? What medications have you tried in the past?
Don't forget that you can evaluate and comment on your medications on our Medication Unit.

I am on Remicade Infliximab which is a biological medication given by infusion every six weeks. I also take Methotrexate 6 tabs once a week. This has really worked well for many years. But I had a virus about four weeks ago and it has knocked my medication sideways and I ache in many of my joints. Can’t wait for my next infusion too put me back on track.

I am on Naproxen which is an NSAID, it’s working at the moment, but gives me heartburn so i take Lansoprozole to help with the stomach acid. If I keep active and take my pills everyday, then I do get relief from symptoms, 1 or 2 on the aches and pains scale. Usually once a month i convince myself that i am cured and take a break , but within 24 hours I start to feel the stiffness and aches and pains coming back on and it takes about 3 days of taking Naproxen again for the pain to ease. Hate taking someone that makes me feel ill but its better than the pains.
