Hi @LifeDelineator
How are you doing today?
Let me see if there are other members who can share their experiences with lesions caused by bullous pemphigoid.

How can you tell when you are in remission? Is it correlated with your lesions, remain filled vs dry up? Is there anything you do to trigger remission? What are your general experiences?
Let's share!
Take care,

@LizziB - As a six month "premie" with CP, I am a bit surprised my patron saint has allowed my body to turn on itself a second time. Especially when the intervening fifteen lustrums have not been that easy. Fortunately, my latest flare-up has been painless a and primarily in one calf.
Still, from what I have read, it is a very mild condition. I would like to offer my most sincere sincere empathy to those more heavily involved.

Hi Just to clarify, in case there’s a difference, my mother had a pemphigoidal reaction to medication and to some wound dressings, and had the blisters that became lesions. (I was told it wasn’t the same as having bullous pemphigoid as a condition but I still wonder if it might always be caused by a reaction to something, and I think sufferers should automatically get asked about medications they may be on that could be causing it). The wet lesions heal too, just more slowly. Don’t know if that’s helpful. If there are dressings on the lesions you could check if they’re inhibiting the healing.

@EllaUK - Thank you! Because I have only one symptom, mine must be an atypical case.
While I would not even call it a concern, as a diabetic , I understand the possibility these could be with me the rest of my life.

Does the condition go into remission when the body stops fighting itself and the lesions begin to heal? I notice the wet ones don't seem to be healing.
