Hi everyone, how are you doing today?

Living with a digestive disorder often means making big changes to the way we eat, not just for comfort, but out of necessity. Whether it’s cutting out spicy foods, dairy, gluten, or just being extra cautious, it can feel like a real loss.

πŸ’¬ Let’s talk about it:

  • Are there any foods you miss dearly from before your diagnosis?
  • Have you found good alternatives or swaps that bring you comfort?
  • Do you allow yourself the occasional β€œcheat” meal, and how does your body react?

You’re not alone in this. Food can be such an emotional part of life, and it’s okay to grieve what you’ve had to let go of.

Looking forward to hearing your stories and tips πŸ’›

I was diagnosed Coeliac at two years of age, and so I adapted just as any one else, growing up and getting used to food. My Mam took the full brunt of my diagnosis, I feel, as planning Gluten Free meals for a young child, in the 50s, was no easy task! Meat, fish veg & fruit were my Mam's go to foods, to help me grow up strong and reasonably healthy!

I have Ulcer colitis! I can eat of course, but it's hard to try new things you've never had before! It's boring to eat the same things always. But it just won't let me. I don't eat spicy foods or something you are not sure you should ,
