Hello everyone,

How are you today?

The end of the year is an excellent time to sit back and reflect on things from the past year, but it is also a great time to think forward to the new year to come!

What are your goals for 2021? - for your health, your personal life, your family, anything! What are you looking forward to? Do you have anything you'd like to achieve?

For me, I'd like to get back into sport and spend less time on my mobile! emoticon laugh

Feel free to share here!

Take care,
Courtney

I would like to concentrate on my health and fitness. Recently, I have had a very blocked ear and trouble with the sinuses. All ear drops and nasal sprays failed to respond to treatment. Left ear feels heavy, as if something sticking in there that needs to come out, but it is not wax. Saw the ENT team and the tuning fork test confirmed that I have fluid in both ears. I have no idea how they can drain the fluid off from the ears. I have to go back sometime in late Jan for another inspection of the ears and a hearing test. My right ear now also feels affected. Has anyone had a similar problem? I would be interested to know regards its treatment. Thank you

Merry Christmas and let's hope a much better 2021

My goal for 2021 is to get my epilepsy back into perspective, go for further testing and try and find a solution as to taking the correct medication, ease the seizures and ill-health, side effects and more.

Since 2019 when I had brain aneurysm surgery, and when they changed my medication, my epilepsy and seizures have been 'out of focus' and all has been up the pole. I've been on 4 different medications and after a teleconsultation with my Neurologist on 15th December 2020, refused to take another one. I requested further EEG testing for a longer period. Perhaps something will come of it, who knows, but I won't give up hope.

I also want to carry on with voluntary editing, voluntary advocating and educating on social media and the running of my Facebook page, supporting people with epilepsy and other health issues. I hope to remain as an Ambassador to Carenity UK, as I love interacting with other people in more ways than one.

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year ahead!

My aim for 2021 are two fold. About 3 weeks ago I had a bad flair up of diviculitus and have had to cut back on lots of foods. So my first aim is to do an updated food diary to work out a new diet plan. Secondly I have enrolled on a sign language course and want to master that skill
