I want to let people know that if they experience 'heartburn' which sits on the chest for a bit, AND goes on for a while GET IT CHECKED.especially if its something new.i thought it was spicy food or something I became allergic to but no.
my gp referred me to the hospital for an endoscopy,a narrow tube is put down into the gullet and stomach to take a biopsy this resulted in the diangnosis of heliobachter pilori which is bacteria.my final diagnosis was barretts osoephagus.this is a serious medical problem involving the change in cells in the gullet to the stomach which can lead to cancer.i take pills to stop too much acid forming and I am feeling better this can be cured.
no pain no discomfort and for a few minutes of your time its a life saver.
