Hi everyone, how are you doing today? 💬

Fluoride is added to water in many parts of the UK to help reduce tooth decay, especially in children. It’s been praised as a simple way to promote dental health, particularly in areas where access to dental care may be limited.

Still, the debate continues. While studies show clear benefits for oral health, others worry about long-term effects of regular fluoride consumption for neurological development or bone conditions, especially in young children or during pregnancy. There's also the question of whether people should have the choice to opt out.

🦷 What do you think?

Do you live in an area with fluoridated water, and how do you feel about it?

Do you believe fluoride is necessary for better dental health?

Would you prefer more public transparency or choice when it comes to water treatment?

Well the irony, it is a poison that industry had real issues of disposal, some bright spark realised promoting it being used in our water supply. We know it causes brain damage in our children reducing mental abilities. In America a major court case has been won they may block the widespread fluoride used in the water supply and will no doubt lead to changes in the UK. Scientist have proven beyond doubt that it damages babies and our children. For me, I can taste the fluoride in the water and flush gallons down the plug hole trying to reduce the appalling taste. I now use mostly bottled water if I need to drink, it seems 10% of the population can taste the chemicals. Try complaining about the awful taste to water companies, they simply say run the water for a bit, great when you are on a water meter!

@robjmckinney I use a reverse osmosis water filter jug. Removes the fluoride and has hugely improved my brain fog, post stroke. Would highly recommend

We've opted for a water filter and change cartridges regularly to ensure we are drinking pure water.
