I'm not religious in any way, shape or form, but I do believe in karma and a "better place" after life. I believe in doing good and good will come to you (karma) and have always tried to live by that mantra.
No matter how much pain I am in, I try to live in the moment, stay positive, taking something good from each day, even if that means just the sun shining! Nature puts a smile on my face most days and I also believe that our dead loved ones send signs to let us know that they are with us.
When we knew that our beloved little dog Daisy was dying (mammary cancer at 10 years old) and as we waited for a vet to come do the deed, I whispered to her "Send me a butterfly to let me know you got there okay" it was June 6th and everywhere we went that summer, there were copious amounts of white butterflies. My mum sends robins and my dad just is there, I smell him, it all helps to ease the bad days.

I'm not into religion but believe that one must live day to day, remain positive and stay focused on the situation one is going through. We all have health issues which we struggle with.
I've met many hypocritical people who think because you don't follow their faith or go to church, that you don't believe in a calm and peaceful life. I've lost my father, stepfather, mum and my special fur baby all within a few years. No one has the right to tell me to follow them or their beliefs when they have no idea what one has been through and is going through at present. A lot of so called "Christians" have no values and mimic those who don't follow their way of thinking.
I was brought up to be independent, stick up for myself, stay confident, positive and live one day at a time. I am so grateful for the upbringing I had and will remain so as long as I am able.

Hello everyone, hope you’re doing well today 🌼
Chronic illness can be a difficult and deeply personal journey, and for many people, faith, spirituality, or personal belief can provide strength, comfort, or guidance during difficult times.
Whether it's through prayer, rituals, community support, or personal reflection, faith can sometimes offer tools for coping and resilience.
💬 Have faith, spirituality, or your personal beliefs helped you manage your health or find peace?
💬 Are there particular practices, traditions, or teachings that have supported you during hard times?
💬 How has your relationship with your faith evolved since your diagnosis or health challenges?

All perspectives and experiences are welcome, whether your faith has been a source of strength, changed over time, or even presented its own questions along the way.
Thank you for sharing your story if you feel comfortable 💬
Take care,
Somya from the Carenity Team 🌼
