Just stopping by to check in and send some positive energy your way. Living with a chronic condition can make each day feel different — some are manageable, others much tougher.

  • How are you feeling today, physically and emotionally?
  • Have you found something that helps lift your spirits when you're having a rough day?

Feel free to share — sometimes just putting things into words can help. 💬

Take care,
Somya.P, from the Carenity team 💞

I'm feeling knackered and pained... which for me, is nothing unusual, but I have new pain in my legs which I'm waiting to speak to the doctor about, so that woke me in the early hours.

But...I won't allow it to get to me, I will find positivity in my day; the sun will shine and heat helps the pain. It puts everything into perspective when I feel sunshine warming my joints, at least I'm alive and have many good things in my life to be grateful for

I love the sun also! it really lifts my spirits. I follow it round the house! and sit in various rooms.. or sit out if its warm enough. I am feeling really fatigued this week, after overdoing it last week. It forces me to slow down, so I read and do little tasks intermittently. I quite enjoy the treat of being able to rest in the day and just go with it, its not worth the risk otherwise of not listening to what my body needs :D

Someone mentioned diabetes type 2 it is rife in my dads side of the family. All of the 5 siblings have it. He has managed to reverse his by following the diet the GP provided and now he can enjoy the odd sweet treat. He's also lost a lot of weight in the process. He has now got a personal trainer as he doesn't enjoy exercise but this is the only way he can force himself to do it!

My uncle plays Russian roulette with his sweet treats and just uses the thumb prick test to see if he is on track. I guess both ways work but I would definitely do what my dad has done if I inherit it. I am really proud of him!

I take one day at a time. Doing okay at the moment but been on a new epilepsy medication now for 6 weeks. Gives me headaches, tiredness and bouts of irritability and mood changes. I won't let my epilepsy or other health issues take control!
