Hello everyone 🌿

I hope you’re doing as well as possible today.

Living with a chronic illness often means carrying realities that aren’t visible from the outside. Fatigue, pain, uncertainty, mental load… many of these things don’t show up, yet they shape daily life in powerful ways.

Sometimes, what’s hardest isn’t the illness itself, but the misunderstandings, assumptions, or silence from others who don’t truly know what it’s like.

💬 Let’s open the conversation:

  • What is one thing you wish people understood about living with a chronic illness?
  • Is there a common phrase, belief, or reaction that feels particularly frustrating or hurtful?
  • If you could say one sentence to someone who has never lived with a chronic condition, what would it be?

Your words may resonate with someone who feels unseen or misunderstood and help build empathy where it’s needed most. 💙

Looking forward to reading your thoughts,

Somya, from the Carenity team 🌼

I wish people could understand the pain that you have to deal with and the effect the tablets that you are given does to you I have days that I just don't want to get out of bed because of the pain I have just getting up and starting the day How slow my walking is and I cannot help it I was turned down for going to a pantomime by my son and his family because I walked to slow It really hurt me But he didn't even think about how I felt Needless to say I didn't ask to go anywhere else with them
