Hi everyone 👋
For years, many of us have heard the same fitness goal: try to walk 10,000 steps a day.
But lately, another approach has been getting attention online - Japanese walking, also called interval walking training.
Instead of trying to reach a particular number of steps, the idea is to alternate between periods of faster walking and slower, more comfortable walking.
For example, you might walk briskly for a few minutes, then slow down and recover before picking up the pace again.
What makes the idea interesting is that it shifts the focus away from spending hours trying to reach a step target. For people who have busy schedules, or limited energy, a shorter structured walk may feel more achievable.
And perhaps that's part of a bigger question about wellness trends.
Do we really need another number to chase - calories, steps, minutes, heart rate or is simply moving in a way that feels manageable more important?
💬 I'd love to hear what you think:

For some people, the best exercise routine may not be the most intense one it may simply be the one they can actually keep doing.
Would you try the Japanese walking method, or do you prefer walking at your own pace without tracking anything?
With care,
