Hi everyone, how are you doing today?

With warmer temperatures, mosquito season is well underway, and that means a higher risk of bites and mosquito-borne illnesses, especially in damp or humid areas.

For people living with chronic illnesses or weakened immune systems, mosquito bites aren’t just a nuisance, they can sometimes lead to more serious complications. Infections like West Nile virus or dengue can be especially dangerous when your health is already vulnerable.

That’s why it’s important to take extra care during the summer: using repellents, mosquito nets, and wearing protective clothing are simple but effective steps.

💬 Have you ever had an unusual reaction to a mosquito bite?

🧴 What do you use to protect yourself during mosquito season?

👩‍⚕️ Has your doctor ever advised specific precautions because of your condition?

I use Skin So Soft by Avon. Works wonders!!! Also a dryer sheet tucked inside the collar of your shirt helps keep them away from your face. I even put dryer sheets on our dogs collars when walking them to keep them away from the dogs

Well I live in the UK and we never really have an issue from such things, I must admit I've lived in the mid or southern England, some extremes may suffer!

I have never been bitten, but then I have never been out of the country and they're not that common in the UK

I lived in Africa for 60 years and we always had mosquitoes and were regularly bitten. There was always mosquito repellant available from the stores and pharmacies. I now live in Northern Ireland and we do not have a problem here due to the change in weather pattern etc.
