Hello everyone!

In our journey with chronic illness, every small step forward is worth celebrating, no matter how tiny! Whether it’s good medical news, a pain-free day, or simply a moment where you felt a bit better, each victory matters.

Taking time to acknowledge our progress, even the modest ones, can really give us a boost. πŸŽ‰

@Folioc - This just goes to show, a diagnosis is not always a prognosis.

I often tell those with acquired impairments, especially veterans, how fortunate I am to be born crippled. You can’t miss what you never knew.

The best of luck to you.

In addition to replacing our roof and contracting the removal of an uprooted pecan tree after the Derecho, I cleared over a chord of heavy damage; and, am, just now, removing a fifth barrell of Beryl debris. This is after a six month recovery from covid/pneumonia and two previous brain injuries, one coigenital.

It has strengthened my resolve to continue another annual challenge, in complying with state law. I may write of this, after the second leg is completed.

Despite all this, I am certain God has something special for me. The prostate he gave me, wakes me up, every night.

In June I took a large overdose. Thankfully with the help of paramedics, an emergency doctor arriving by helicopter my life was saved. I was in hospital a week and had follow up care in the community for 6 weeks. I also went on a lovely holiday to Keswick Christian centre. One of the speakers spoke on anxiety and depression. She was very understanding because she was a sufferer too. All of these things helped me to come out of my depression. My husband and 2 grown up children supported me really well too.

I just renewed my driver's license on line; and, avoided a laborious visit to the DMV.
