Hi everyone, how are you doing today? πŸ’¬

Whether it’s tending to a backyard vegetable patch, growing herbs on a windowsill, or simply caring for a few potted plants, gardening can be a small act of joy that brings peace, purpose, and connection to something bigger.

A recent study from the University of Edinburgh found that older adults who spent time gardening had better thinking skills later in life. From memory to problem-solving, gardening seems to gently exercise the mind as much as the body. But beyond the science, many say it simply makes them feel good, less stressed, more optimistic, more connected to nature.

🌿 So, let’s dig into this together:

Do you garden indoors or outdoors?

What do you enjoy growing? Flowers, veggies, herbs, houseplants?

How does gardening make you feel?

Any tips or lessons you've learned in the soil?

I love being outside I've been pruning today but as I'm not able to do much at a time I've been sitting on the garden swing Just the fresh air makes you feel better Can't wait to plant up my tubs & baskets soon

Yes I enjoy gardening, I am sowing at the moment seeds veg. and flowers , I have also bought some tomato plants.

I use to work an allotment plot but due to ill health I had to give it up, It's good to get out in the fresh air and in touch with the earth it relaxs me and makes me feel good..

I've never loved gardening although my mum tried to get me involved several years ago. I'm more into doing advocating and reading.
