Hello everyone, how are you doing?💬

Living with depression can feel like an endless uphill battle. Some people say that with time, experience, therapy, or medication, managing depression can become more intuitive. Others feel that it remains just as difficult, but they get better at recognizing early warning signs or building supportive routines. Like learning to swim in rough waters, some days are easier than others.🌊🏊

👉 Have you found that coping strategies, therapy, or just experience have helped you manage depression better over the years?

👉 Or does it still feel as challenging as when you first started facing it?

👉 In your opinion, what make depression easier or harder to handle over time?

There are days when I can mask it really well, like when out with friends. Then there are days when I don't even have it in me to answer the phone. It did get better for a while somewhere in the middle but the past few months have not been great.

You'd think that my body and my mind have different problems but it all actually just depends on how much I weigh that year because somehow everythign always becomes about my weight. I know I'm fat, I don't need to be reminded of it every single second of every waking hour. There will be periods when I'll be extremely motivated and loose some and suddenly people start treating me like a human again so I don't feel so bad anymore but my weight fluctuates a lot, so it will be back to square one in no time.

Don’t recall the last time I didn’t feel this numb.

Can’t see a future where I’m truly really happy.
