Hi everyone, how's it going?

Let’s talk about something that doesn’t get nearly enough attention: what it’s like to date when you live with inflammatory bowel disease. Whether it’s Crohn’s or ulcerative colitis, managing symptoms is hard enough, but opening up to someone new about your condition? That’s a whole different kind of vulnerable.

👉 When do you usually tell someone you’re dating about your IBD?

👉 Has your condition ever caused awkward or stressful moments in a relationship?

👉 How do you manage things like intimacy, body image, or simply making plans when you’re not feeling your best?

Some of us might avoid dating during flares, while others dive in and let people know right away. There’s no one right way to handle it, just what feels right for you.

💬 If you’ve been through it, your story could help someone else feel a little less alone. This is a safe space to talk about the hard stuff too, rejection, fear, frustration, or even unexpected moments of connection.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts,

Somya from the Carenity team 🌼
