Hi all. Apart from my arthritis and Parkinson's I also have Gastroparesis with a gastric emptying of approximately 5 days.  Cant take pain killers and struggling with my Parkinson's meds.  Anyone else struggling with this condition and also having difficulties with their local health funding?

Hi, I have had my gallbladder removed in 2017 be cause of a acute pancreatitus, but have since had about 7 further attacks and had to be Hospitalized. They are now saying it could be cholangitis. I am so confused as I do not drink or smoke. Each time I go in to be stabilised I come away without a diag nosis. My last hospital visit was in May and because of Covid I have heard nothing since. I have just, and still recuperating with a further attack which I have dealt with at home, but feel this is too risky as there are so many complications that can occur. Rang my GP who was most unhelpful, just told me to ring 111 if it became worse. Feeling so frustrated, not knowing my best course of action. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, I've just joined this site today! I have gastroesophageal reflux disease and I'm looking to connect with others who have it too. I haven't had a lot of success with the medicines I've been given so I'm interested to hear what others have tried.

@Jennyh44‍ I hope you've gotten some help, I've heard cholangitis is very painfull!

I have had ibs for almost 40 years now. I think I have tried almost everything. I suffer mostly with constipation but get bouts of diarrhoea as well. Here’s what has helped me.

When I get wind I find that lying on my left side with my knees tucked up helps, buscopan for cramps, loperamide for diarrhoea , lansoprazole for acid.

I have tried adjusting my diet ( including the low fodmap diet) but no change.

My advice is keep trying new treatments etc until you find what works for you. Ibs is a very personal condition and everyone suffers differently.

Hope someone finds this helpful xx

I was diagnosed with Coeliac Disease at the age of 2years and I am now 64. Despite sticking rigidly to the Gluten Free diet I have experienced varying digestive problems and was diagnosed with IBS 20 years ago. I think they go hand in hand as they both result in swelling of the gut and chronic gut pain. I now take Omeprazole which has lessened my reliance on Gavascon. Good wishes to all with similar, please share!

I have a large hiatus hernia which ruptures for fun but they can't operate on it as I have chronic brittle asthma and COPD. I also have diviculitus and however hard I try to manage both conditions with diet it is very difficult. What I can tolerate for 1 often upsets the other t. The one thing I have discovered is that I can't eat gluten which is expensive and even though it much more readily available than it was it can still be difficult to get sometimes. As my son jokes it is easier to say what I can eat than what I can't.

@JazzyC I must say, you sound like you're juggling with a fair number of chronic conditions at once! I can only express my empathy for struggles and that you are a trooper to just cope. Good wishes for the future x
