Hi guy's Im wondering if anyone else has tried Mindfulness for pain management. Ive just finished a 8week introduction in mindfulness. Ive always had a interest in meditating. The course has changed my relationship too the pain. It has saved me and really work's. Its run by Breathworks. Im doing the next course a 8week mindfulness for Health. All about dealing with Chronic pain. I have RR MS Fybromyalgia & neck damage. I can say hand on heart this course has helped me in so many ways. I now deal & cope with the pain. Also Head Space is a amazing app that you can download. Breathworks & Head Space really do help. Again I hope wverybody is well. Have a Merry Christmas. Donna :)

@Kencomax Hello,

Thank you for sharing your tips for other members, it is really great news that you feel you have more control and management over your pain.

You might find our other forum, living with chronic pain, to be interesting. We have articles there about apps to handle pain and pain management. You can access it by clicking here.

I hope you continue being in good spirits :)

Hi Pleasance, im mindfulness is helping in so many ways. Its given me a calmer mind and I now relate too the pain in a totally different way. Breathworks run a introduction too mindfulness course in Shipley plus other places. Also search for Breathworks & Head space on the phone. Headspace is amazing. Im st a stage now where I can lay even in pain doing a app (meditation) #midfullness. I can soften the pain, infact I just refer to it as a feeling now & not pain. Please give them a try. They are life changing. Donna:)

@Kencomax‍

I am in US  Is there a way I can find Breatheworks?  I am having severe shoulder blade pain for the first time and it is awful!  I want to learn how to deal with it without more drugs  Thanks so much

If you have a smart phone download the Breathworks app.  Its the full 8week course (meditations) also you can purchase the "Mindfulness for Health" book that goes with the course.  Its buy Vidyamala Burch & Danny Pennman. The breathworks app is free . The book you should be able to buy anywhere thats £13.99. Hope this help. Mindfulness has saved me. Learning about Primary and Secondary suffering/pain really helps. I can turn into my pain and soften it, let my breath massage my body. Please please give it a go. Donna 😊
