Hello everyone, how are you today?

Prostate cancer treatment can impact sexual function, libido, and self-confidence. Many men experience erectile dysfunction, reduced sensation, or changes in how they feel about intimacy. But relationships and intimacy go beyond just physical function.

Have you struggled with confidence in sexual intimacy since treatment?

How have you adjusted or found new ways to connect with your partner?

Have you found medical or psychological support, and has it helped?

I have been impotent since my Radical Prosectamy in 2019. Hormone treatment has reduced my interest in intimacy to 0.

Luckily my wife is very understanding and supportive

The medication given to alleviate the symptoms and to try to relax the prostate before any surgical intervention can be an issue. I take finasteride and Tamsulosin. The finasteride takes away any form of ejaculation and I’ve found it even affects the interest in sexual relations. The worst thing is that I need viagra to be able to perform in any way due to the combination of the two medications combined.
