I read a book by Susan Blum, which recommended gluten and dairy free, also supplements such as curcumin, which has completely turned the RA, chronic fatigue and brain fog around in 9weeks.

I went gluten and dairy free at first and then turned vegan with less oil and carb in my diet. After avoiding gluten and dairy 80% of my pain and stiffness are gone and then after going vegan made things a lot easier. I do intermittent fasting too. Try taking green juice with cucumber and celery three times a day. You can add turmeric and kale or beet with it. This reduces fatigue a lot.

Hi @Graysuetpud‍ , @Shamira‍ did you consult your doctor or a dietician to get advice on nutrition? Or did you search the information on the Internet?

I asked the doctor and dietician. They did not advise me on a specific diet, but NHS website has a link to natural treatments on RA, where it is mentioned that a few people were benefited by changing their diet. I also read a book on named The Healing Foods for special diets where it is suggested that going gluten and dairy free yield much benefits to RA patients. Through my origin in India I am a firm believer of Ayurveda, and hence I have checked with Ayurveda practitioner who advised the same thing while asked me to add a morning dose of Fenugreek seeds. I mix that with my green juice every morning. These I believe have benefited me hugely. Though I know I can never go back to my previous life, at least I can live a pain-free life with this lifestyle change.

Hello Margarita,

I spent three years on prescription drugs which seemed to make me feel worse, until I couldn’t bear feeling so poorly..I spoke to my GP about a book by Amy Myers, reversing auto immunity and she encouraged me to try it. I then spoke through the content with my RA consultant at a routine check up 7 weeks later. It was my consultant who recommended the book by Susan Blum, saying that both books may hold the answer and for me to date it has.

hope this helps.
