Hi, I'd like to ask if someone knows any physical exercises for back pain for a 58 year old man without any sport background. I used to play football a little when I was young and then there was occasional jogging but that's about it. So need something really light to begin with.

Also would appreciate any advice on how to start and all the do's and dont's.

Thanks!

hi @b.lane, there is actually plenty f thing you could do with ra, without being a professional athlete, and I think most of them can help with back pain, especially stretching. You can also walk, swim or cycle, whatever gives you pleasure.

For my part, I enjoy walking, at my own pace, and I do stretching exercises several times a week, for my legs, arms, and back. I am a 58 year old woman but I think what I do is good for you too smile.png. However I suppose there are special exercises for your neck, but I can't help you here, I think you need to consult with a specialist.

good luck!

Hi, yellowsun has good advice, alternatively you could ask your doctor to refer you to the physiotherapist for advise.
