Hi Karen,
My name is Ian,i have had Diabetes for 57 years,i was diagnosed a week before my second birthday. For a long while i have had to wear bed socks all the time, and my hands always feel cold,so i have started wearing wooden gloves to sleep in.They are the only complication, besides having to have laser treatment on both eyes, when cataracts formed 30 years ago.Depending what your blood sugars are is the same or different.

Hi Karen, I believe the tingling of hands and feet are side effects of being diabetic, I also have numbness of the lower part of my feet and finger tips. I hope this is information is helpful.

Hi @isophane, diabetes can impact kidney health, especially if other risk factors are present, like smoking for example.
