Having a chronic condition like diabetes is not easy. Does anyone suffers also from depression? If so, for how long have you had this condition? and are you treating it?

We want to hear your story!

Best,

Gilda

When I was little and found out I was diabetic, while growing up it was really hard and depressing to see other kids doing and eating a lot of thing I couldn't. I went through a lot of depressive periods until I finaly understood that it was part of me, it mad eme unique and that there was nothing wrong with being diabetic

Hello @TinySun I am sorry you felt that way, I think I have sometimes felt it is a burden to have this condition, but I've never been depressed per se. I hope you take it better now, if you need someone to talk to know that I am here

I've suffered from depression and anxiety since I was a small child. I developed type 2 diabetes approximately 9 years ago, it's hard to tell if the depression has worsened because of the diabetes or in spite of it. Very confusing.
