Does anyone else here (with type 1 diabetes) find that they can have a bad temper sometimes (especially when you haven’t eaten and sugar levels ain’t stable, or when you have a temperature) and your family find it very hard to understand this even when you try to explain?

Very much so anger is an issue,  my wife just throws food at me to calm me down. My brother is the same only worse for many years, we always had many snacks on standby when he came to stay. Got my wife in training for me as he developed Diabetes 2 before me. So it happens with 2 as well as 1 and for me the mood swings are quite recent but my brother from the start.

I have had type 1 for 63 years and as I no longer experience the early warning signals of a hypo, I feel well.  I get angry and stubborn when my husband insists that I eat something.

I get pretty shakey when I haven't eaten and sometimes I get cross if someone isn't understanding of my condition. But generaly just weak and need to sit.
