I saw my doctor yesterday and he really hammered on me to look out for artificial sugars. I thought I was doing a good job avoiding them but I guess not... What kinds of things are they hidden in?

Hello @henrick‍, thank you for opening this discussion! It's true that sometimes there can be sugars - artificial or not - hidden in all sorts of foods and products without us realising it! Let me tag some other members who can possibly share with you!

Hello all, how are you today? Do you pay attention to artificial sugars and the sugar content of what you consume? What types of products contain artificial sugars? Do you avoid them all together or do you just try to limit them?

Feel free to share here!

Take care,

They all taste terrible but have had to accept the low quality taste. It took many years to get use to sweetners but as always even sweetners are bad for us, go figure. If you eat cheap foods more than likely they use sweetners rather than expensive sugars. The big joke is that most 'healthy' claimed foods have lots of sugar as is posh food. If it tastes nice then it usually contains the 'bad boy' ingredients. The worry for me is what they use as alternatives, not just sugars but other unhealthy ingredients. Fats and more unhealthy fats are being used now as they seek to make healthy food taste nicer, they have no hope, stay safe!
