Over 55 million patients in England can now book GP appointments, order repeat prescriptions and access summary information in their medical record online.

If you want to know more about this I invite you to read this article and comment here below what do you think about :)

All the best,

I have found that service to be very useful especially on days where I dont feel I can talk to people. That is untill you try and it says u need to ring them cos they are changing their booking system lol

Me too I have Registered online and use it to order a Repeat Prescription but have not as yet used it to get a Drs. appointment.  It is a bit daunting to see all your medical records and at the beginning I saw that they did not have a lot of my records on  i.e. conditions over the years that I had gone to see my doctor with, I mentioned this and see that things have been added.   I worry just who can get to see all this Private to me information, also every time I log on I get right into it, so I have tried to put another password to change that and blow me I can't remember it now,  so think next time I log in I am going to have problems!!

I am registered on two of these systems, one at my surgery and one at my husband's.  I have used both quite successfully to order prescriptions and to book appointments.  I have not yet found any areas where I can view either of our records however?  One is with Patient Access, the other is Systemonline.  Anyone tried it with either of these and if so, any hints on how to find the records would be appreciated.

@GildaT‍ Thank you for sharing this information.

The medical practice I am registered with has an online service which is greatly appreciated. I have utilised this service for repeat prescriptions, but not yet for Doctor's appointments.

It is so much easier to do it online but regret blood results and patient details are not present. I spoke to the doctor about this and await their response.

I have had to register for online services as its proving nearly impossible to get an appointment at my surgery, the phone line opens at 8.30 and even with a modest 5 to 10 minute wait on the line all the appointments are taken unless its an emergency appointment. I have asked about this at the surgery and was told that people booking appointments online are taking them all so if you can't beat them join them.
