Hello Suncatcher2015, it makes me laugh about the dwp getting their hair off, the people of the country have the right to know just how bad things are getting due to the IDS plans to give sick people a really bad time and drive them down into despair.

They don't want to look like the evil sods that they are, and have people already hating them at each turn, and ready to stand up to them, and fight for their rights.

So keep up the good work, ttfn from Karen

Government contractor Atos Healthcare claims it has no idea if a former surgeon whose flawed assessment of a disabled man helped trigger his suicide is still testing people with mental health conditions for their eligibility for disability benefits.

Hello to all, Suncatcher2015's last post about Atos, claiming they have no idea about the flawed assessment is just passing the buck, of deniability, does not wash with me. They have a script or guidance  sheets as to how to conduct the assessment, and make /draw conclusions from what these bring about. They will keep testing people with mental health conditions, as they regard them as easy targets and they hope can push them as far as they can, easy targets, every person who has a disability or condition is in the sights and on the target for terrible treatment.

I have read on other sites about how others have been treated on these assessments, and some have come home in tears, sick and in terrible state, and when the dreaded letters arrive some have been stripped of all the dla payments, or the esa, and have no money and then going through the various appeals and mandatory reviews, all this has left them in states of distress and relapses.

I hope when it comes to my turn for the pip from dla my nerves are in good shape,,,,,ttfn from Karen.

“I say to those watching today and who are genuinely sick, disabled or are retired. You have nothing to fear. This government and this party don’t regard caring for the needy as a burden. It is a proud duty to provide financial security to the most vulnerable members of our society and this will not change. This is our contract with the most vulnerabl" Iain Duncan Smith - October 2010

The following story is taken from the Centre for Welfare Reform website article on work capability assessment deaths and suicides:- http://www.centreforwelfarereform.org/uploads/attachment/456/work-capability-assessment-deaths-and-suicides.pdf

A young man explained how his uncle, who had severe mental health problems, committed suicide after the test gave him zero points and found him fit to work. He had appealed against the decision, and won at tribunal. But shortly after that decision, he was called in for another assessment, and for a second time scored zero points and was told he did not. He began appealing against the decision again, but a few days before another tribunal date was set, he hanged himself.

I just want to know how this story fits with the statement by IDS?
