Hello Margo41,

I am very sorry to hear about the troubles that you are having with your boyfriend. Menopause can be a difficult time of change anyway, nevermind when it is coupled with an extra source of stress and sadness.

I recommend that you reach out to some friends or family members and tell them what is going on. You deserve happiness and to be in a relationship that makes you feel fulfilled. If a friend told you her boyfriend was trating her this way, what would your advice be? Think about that and follow your heart.

@margo41 Hello margo41,

Don't be so hard on yourself, people are more likely to enter back into an abusive relationship after being in one. Instead of focusing on, "I should have seen this coming" you should be proud of yourself on having had the strength to leave.

You took some great steps by leaving him and going back to your doctor. Now is the time to gather all your strength and take care of yourself.
