@Lorac65 Hello,

I am very sorry to hear that you're experiencing daily chronic pain, it can be very frustrating. I will give you some links about different articles discussing chronic pain:

Apps for Managing chronic Pain

Hot and cold therapy for pain

Are you interested in CBD oil?

Do any other members have any advice or experiences to share?

@JosephineO‍ ... Thank you for adding me to this discussion and for the links in it.

These I am sure we will all find helpful.

I've had a lot of pain with my lower back (osteoporosis) and neck recently, and have a doctor's appointment this week. I will discuss this all with him and request a stronger pain killer if possible.

The only thing I find helpful at night is the use of a hot water bottle.

Once I've investigated the links, I'll come back to you with more comments.

Wishing you all a pleasant day!

Lesmal if you find that heat helps you can actually buy packs of pads that you activate they then heat up & you put them on the affected place. Like everything sometimes it helps & sometimes not!. Amongst other issues I also have back pain but it is especially bad when linked to specific activities eg ironing which unfortunately needs to be done. What I can do however is spread the times I do it so instead of 4 hours I might iron for 1 hour 4 times a week. or whatever I can fit in. Others will offer you insight into what works for them. lately because things are deteriorating my analgesia is no longer as effective as it used to be I am finding that varying what I take for it means that it tends to be more effective when I do take it, so Voltarol gel, heat rub, & yes CBD oil can all help (not all at the same time you understand!!) Depending on which analgesia you are on giving you one a little stronger should take more of the pain away but most of us find that you need something for breakthrough pain when it gets especially bad. Sorry if I have wittered on I do tend to get carried awayKeep wellSandra

@the-demi-god‍ Thank you for all your advice and I'll look into some of your remedies... Will also be speaking to the doctor on Friday and ask him for stronger medication! I'll keep you posted on whether any of your effects of relieving pain helps. Keep well and have a good day.
