Has anybody been on afatinib and how long for .I have been on it about a year and doing ok at the moment some side effects but I have coped with them

Sorry to add to this discussion at such a late date. Afatinib was the first treatment I was given. The major side effect was very bad diarrhoea. Far worse was that it stopped working after the first 3-6months. Unfortunately this was the start of a pattern of not working. So since then I have had 5 days of radio therapy, immunotherapy and chemotherapy. I am now waiting to hear about trials that might be available to me.

I do hope you are still taking Afatinib and it is controlling your cancer. Best wishes
