I have actually been out of menopause for several years. I never experienced any harsh symptoms. Its been so long ago, I don't even recall what symptoms, if any I experienced during Pre/peri menopause.

When asked by a nurse practitioner I took a few seconds to answer as I had adenymyosis and womb ablation combined with underactive thyroid so taking t3 and t4. All symptoms could be aligned with both. I was rudely told that it was not a trick question! Also I slight period after covid jabs. Therefore confused.

To me all the types of menopause are basically the same (They're all stages of this condition) was just put on a tablet in lockdown, I was informed because of my age at the time. I recently spoke to my nurse practitioner who asked me if the tablet was working. To which I answered I actually didn't know as I'd had no particular side effects. I stop taking it for 7 days, finding out it worked. I'd had issues with gums, sleeping, lack of appetite, to mention only a few.
I realised that the tablet was working because previously I had been using Balance app Which had a myriad of different symptoms, of which none I had!

Thank you for explaining all the processes. I had a full hysterectomy in my 30s and went into.early menopause.
This was controlled well by HRT in South Africa until I arrived in Northern Ireland and was taken off it as they said it was a risk to the osteoporosis I was diagnosed with in 2018. I still fight the doctors here to go back on HRT but no luck.

I found that because I happen to have lupus it doesn't seem to be a topic anybody with it wants to discuss very frustrating! Also because I have lupus I cannot do HRT. There isn't any alternatives not that I've been informed or found. I spoke to my rheumatology nurse if there was anything I could do to help with a symptoms - there's nothing we can really do to help you with any of the symptoms. Very unhelpful indeed. Me being me I got straight online and found different foods, routines and strategies that to help myself. I realise there are many illnesses that need attention but lupus is still so very overlooked in the UK🫤

Hello everyone,
Menopause is often talked about as a single event, but it’s actually a gradual process with distinct phases:
Understanding these stages can help you better navigate the transition and find the right support.
👉 Did you know the difference between these stages before experiencing symptoms?
👉 What signs helped you identify where you are in the process?
👉 Have you found the right medical or emotional support for each stage?
