I was on HRT several years ago after having a full hysterectomy and going into early menopause. It helped a great deal and I wish I could take it again today. Due to being on Phenytoin it caused osteoporosis and osteopenia and my doctor's are against putting me on it again. I took Premarin daily and felt so much better on it. I've repeatedly asked my doctor about it but he won't budge and says at the age of 66, I should not take it.

Hello everyone,
How are you doing today?
Not everyone is able to or wants to go through Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) which is commonly used to reduce the intensity of menopausal symptoms such as hot flushes, nausea and cramps.
What are some alternative medications or coping mechanisms to HRT that can be used throughout menopause? What were your experiences like? What can you recommend to other Carenity members?
Let's share!
Take care,
Lizzi from the Carenity team
